Camden, Arkansas is getting ready to present hundreds of thousands of daffodils at the 24th annual Camden Daffodil Festival. The happy return of this popular festival is scheduled for the weekend of March 10th and 11th 2017!

Nothing heralds spring quite like the blossoming of flowers. If you’re hankering for the color and warmth of spring, come out to Camden, AR on the second weekend of March for acres and acres of gorgeous, multi-colored daffodils.

The Camden Daffodil Festival, begun in 1993, has grown in stature and popularity over the years. The two-day festival now regularly attracts thousands of visitors to town – and who can blame them?

The Camden Daffodil Festival offers a chance to tour six private gardens with millions of beautiful flowers spread over many acres. The festival isn’t all just flowers and gardens, either.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour Camden homes that are rich with Civil War history. Costumed presenters will help to illustrate the scenes with historical information. Be sure to check out the local museums, tour Camden’s Confederate cemetery, and enjoy the Civil War Encampment and battle reenactors, too!

Fans of motor vehicles will want to visit the Antique Car Show and also peruse the wide variety of motorcycles at the Bike Show. Art aficionados will enjoy the annual art show and sale with hundreds of pieces from local and regional artists. The Quilt Show and Art Sale is another good bet for wonderful, one-of-a-kind gifts. Over 100 special vendors will be in town, too.

Another huge draw for the weekend is the 17th Annual World Championship Steak Cook-Off.

Scheduled for Saturday, March 11th from 5pm to 6:15pm, the Steak Cook-Off will continue its tradition of providing cash prizes for the best chef – and for serving thousands of steaks! Arrive by noon to enjoy the full-schene, including appetizers, live music, and much more!

Other events include the Miss Daffodil Pageant, a Painting Contest, Dining with the Daffodils, and a Rock Climbing Wall. The majority of the profits from the festival are donated to non-profit organizations within the Camden community.
