If you enjoy animals, you’ll love the Wild Wilderness Drive-Through Safari! The 400-acre farm in Gentry Arkansas is home to more than 50 different species, ranging from sheep and pygmy goats to hippos and ligers.
The facility includes a 4-mile drive through section, a walk-through area, animal petting parks, and seasonal pony and camel rides.
Wild Wilderness works to continually provide the environment for their animals. The acreage includes lots of beautiful Arkansas landscape and several large ponds. A substantial renovation project park took place during the early months of 2019 to further improve the habitat of the park’s animals.
Animals at Wild Wilderness
The drive-through section of Wild Wilderness contains some of the bigger and most popular animals. These include black bears, African lions, Bengal tigers, leopards, wolves, and warthogs.
The drive-through safari is also home to a variety of herd animals. Asiatic water buffalo, Texas Longhorns, zebra, scimitar-horned oryx, antelope, and wildebeest. You’ll also see ostriches, emus, and prairie dogs.
You’ll view these and other animals from the safety and comfort of your own vehicle as you drive through the park. But that’s not all there is to do at Wild Wilderness. The park also includes walk-through and petting areas with lots more animals you can visit – many up close and personal!
Here you may see kangaroos, porcupines, giraffes, lemurs, baboons, pot-bellied pigs, macaws, gibbons, and a great many others. In this section of the safari, you will be able to interact with and even feed some of the animals.
Have you ever fed a giraffe? The question you ask yourself is, did the first bite make it all the way down the throat before the second bite was taken?
