Mountains, Music and Motorcycles is a family-friendly, motorcycling-enthusiast event featuring a poker run, biker games with prizes, free concerts, great food, vendors, a bike and car show, and even a biker church service on Sunday!
Mountains, Music and Motorcycles began in 2004 as a homegrown effort with no budget and only 350 motorcycles appeared that first year. By 2010 the event was attracting an estimated 10,000 motorcycles. This year, over twice that number are expected to roar into town to celebrate what has grown into a major festival for Mountain View. Mountains, Music and Motorcycles is still volunteer run with considerable of its proceeds going towards the March of Dimes, ABC, and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Even though a “biker” event seems quite the contrast for a town known primarily as the folk-music capitol of the world, people travel from as far away as Canada to attend – and the town returns the favor, welcoming attendees with good food, music, and a friendly atmosphere celebrating motorcycle-riding passion.
