Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights 2017Just last post we focused on Lights Of The Ozarks in Fayetteville – but that’s hardly the only amazing Christmas light display in Arkansas. In fact, Arkansas is home to so many stunning holiday light displays, there is an extensive state tour trail! This holiday season, come explore the festive Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights!

Uncommonly large holiday light displays first began to appear around Arkansas in the mid 80’s and early 90’s. By 1995, the spectacle had become so common – and popular! – that the firstĀ  holiday light trail was born. 22 years later and the trend continues, stronger than ever.

Today’s Trail of Lights sees more than 50 Christmas light displays, all across the state. From North Central Arkansas to the Lower Delta, communities and individuals show their holiday spirit through lights, motion, and music.

The trail is broken up into 5 different sections, including the Northwest, the Upper Delta, North Central, Central, Southwest, and the Lower Delta. Each of these areas contains at least two different itineraries. In fact there are so many big light displays in the Northwest, there are 5 different itineraries alone!

Arkansas’ mild winter temperatures make the state a great place to visit year ’round. The annual Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights adds just one more reason to come visit the Natural State during the holiday season.
